Yes — a nail free adhesive strong bond can replace screws for many mounting tasks, but not all. Modern construction adhesives based on modified silane polymer technology deliver tensile strength up to 2.5 N/mm² and elongation at break of 300%, making them fully capable of securing mirrors, skirting boards, decorative moldings, and bathroom fixtures without drilling. However, for structural load-bearing connections or safety-critical joints, mechanical fasteners still hold an edge. Understanding where adhesive bonding works — and where it does not — is the key to smarter, faster installation.
A high-viscosity paste that forms a structural link between two surfaces through chemical curing rather than mechanical penetration is used in place of nails and screws in construction. The modified silane polymer chemistry in Jiaobao's One-part RTV Nail Free Glue cures through atmospheric wetness to make a bond that is bendable but strong, with a Shore A hardness of 50 ± 5.
With moisture-cure chemistry, the glue starts to skin over in about 20 minutes at 23°C and 50% relative humidity. About 2.5 mm of full depth cure is added every 24 hours. This gives installers enough time to position the pieces correctly while also building enough early-grab strength to cut down on or get rid of the need for props on vertical surfaces.
Even the strongest glue doesn't work well on surfaces that are dirty, oily, or wet. As long as the substrates are clean, dry, and only slightly rough, the modified silane chemistry can fully wet the surface and bond molecules together. A quick wipe with isopropyl alcohol makes the glue much more reliable on smooth metal or polished tile.

Screws put a lot of stress on one area, which can crack materials that are already weak, like marble or ceramic tile. A nail free adhesive strong bond spreads stress over the whole area that is bound. Jiaobao's product has a maximum tensile strength of 2.5 N/mm² (ISO 37), which is strong enough for most bathroom accessories like towel bars, vanity mirrors, and PVC skirting boards.
If you drill through polished tile, glass, or finished drywall, it could crack, chip, or need expensive repairs. With adhesive mounting, that risk is completely gone. The surface is now flush and doesn't have any hardware on it. There are no screw heads, anchor holes, or other obvious fixes. People who buy high-end home finishes can tell a difference in quality that they can see.
Drilling metal bolts makes a lot of dust and noise, which is a real problem in buildings that are already occupied. Putting down construction glue doesn't cause any vibrations, flying particles, or major disruptions. Jiaobao's formula works from -40°C to 80°C, and its 1.400 N/mm² elastic modulus at 100% elongation means that the bond bends instead of breaking when the temperature changes, which is safer than hard mechanical links.
Clean both sides of any grease, loose paint, or dust before using a paste glue. Clean surfaces that don't have pores, like glass or shiny metal, with isopropyl alcohol and let them dry completely. Use between 5°C and 35°C, which is the recommended temperature range for construction. Cold surfaces below 5°C make curing much slower and weaker at first.
Cut the nozzle in half at a 45-degree angle and cover one surface with a nail free adhesive strong bond bead or dot pattern that stays the same. Hold down hard for at least 30 to 60 seconds to let the initial grab form. For things that are heavier than the instant grab rate, use temporary supports or tape until the surface has dried completely, which should take about 20 minutes. Stay away from the bond for the first 24 hours.
Check bonded joints once a year in damp places like bathrooms and kitchens. The waterproof formula stops mold growth and water from getting in, but over time, mechanical impact or too much flex loading can weaken the bond line. If you need to take it off after it has fully cured, use a fine wire tool to cut the bond line and a heat gun or the right solvent to soften any leftover glue.
The glue market has products from well-known brands like 3M, Henkel, Gorilla Glue, Bostik, and Loctite, as well as more niche companies like Jiaobao. When looking for products for business-to-business projects, here are the main features you should compare:
MS polymer (modified silane) versions offer solvent-free chemistry, low VOC output, and compatibility with a wide range of surfaces, such as metal, glass, wood, and gypsum board. These are benefits that neutral-cure silicone doesn't always have.

Adhesive bonding with nail free adhesive strong bond is a practical and often better choice for non-structural uses like skirting boards, decorative moldings, bathroom accessories, and mirrors up to standard home weights. Screws or a combination of adhesive and mechanical fixings are better for things that weigh more than 15 kg or for uses that need to handle dynamic loads, like stairs or load-bearing brackets.
MS polymer adhesives stick well to both porous and non-porous surfaces at the same time. This means they can be used for parts made of different materials, which is common in repair work. Without special primers, they can't be used on low-surface-energy plastics like polyethylene or polypropylene. Before defining, make sure the product has waterproof and UV-resistance scores for places that are wet or outside.
When you use adhesive, you don't need power tools, wall supports, or to patch up drill holes afterward. For renovations in occupied units where noise and dust are a problem, this means that the site can be cleared faster and there are fewer calls back for minor fixes.
Today's construction adhesives are so good that they can really be used instead of screws in a lot of different interior mounting situations. A good nail free adhesive strong bond gives you strong, clean, and long-lasting results without drilling when you do things like installing skirting boards, mirrors, and bathroom fixtures. It's not a perfect solution for all mechanical fasteners, but it works well and is reliable for most cosmetic and light-structural work in home and business fit-outs.
Yes, as long as the product says it can stand up to UV light and rain. Jiaobao's modified silane formulation works from -40°C to 80°C, so it can be used for exterior trim and facade projects as long as the surface is properly prepared.
At 23°C and 50% relative humidity, the surface takes about 20 minutes to dry. Most of the time, supports can be taken off of lighter items after 30 to 60 minutes. If the load is heavy, wait at least 24 hours before taking away all the support.
Yes, modified silane adhesives stick well to metal, wood, gypsum board, glazed ceramic, and glass. For best results, clean the area with rubbing alcohol before you use it.
Viscosity goes up and healing slows down a lot below 5°C. Use only when the suggested temperature range for building is between 5°C and 35°C. When it's cold, warming the cartridge up to room temperature before using it makes the flow better.
Yes, but you have to work at it. Fine steel wire or a rotating tool can be used to cut through the hardened bond line. Depending on the material, a heat gun or mineral spirits can then be used to soften the residue.
Since 2013, Jiaobao has been making building sealants and adhesives. They have ISO and CE certifications and a steady production wait time of one to two weeks. You can order in bulk from Jiaobao whether you need 300 ml cartridges or 600 ml sausage packs, OEM labels, or custom colors.
